We offer different types of trips, such as historic & cultural tours, adventure travels & philanthropic trips.
Once you identify a trip on our website that captures your interest, you simply click on it and follow the instructions to book or reach out to us for a private trip consultation.
Each Gone Getaways Trip is different, so it is important to read your trip’s specific inclusion through the booking page. Most Gone Getaways trips will include lodging accommodations, roundtrip airport transfers, accompanying staff, daily breakfast, select lunches & dinners, expert guides, tours/excursions, transportation to all tours/excursions.
Your airfare is almost never included in the price of the trip. It is each traveler’s responsibility to secure their airfare. Our guests join us from all over the world, making it impossible to offer a single trip price that includes airfare for all guests.
Travel insurance is mandatory/required on all Gone Getaways trips; this is to protect you and your investment from any last-minute unforeseen cancellation and to protect you in case of any unfortunate accident or inconvenience before or during your trip.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of booking are eligible for a full refund. If a cancellation is made after the 24-hour period, you will not be eligible for a refund. However, if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the travel date, you will receive a credit equal to the amount paid (minus cancellation fees), which can be applied toward future travel with us.
You are solely responsible for securing your flights and to comply with all country, airline, or vendor requirements (e.g. passports, visas, vaccinations and documentation). Gone Getaways is not liable for increased fares due to delays in booking or cancellations resulting from failure to secure flights or meet travel requirements. No refund or credit will be issued if you fail to meet these requirements or if changes in requirements lead to your cancellation.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance immediately after booking to protect against unforeseen cancellations or emergencies. All requests for cancellation must be received in writing via email at info@gonegetaways.com.
Gone Getaways LLC reserves the right to cancel or postpone a trip due to extenuating circumstances.
Each trip and destination may have different health and vaccination requirements. Please refer to your trip’s specific booking page for details. We no longer require guests to be vaccinated against Covid 19–however, should a destination require it, it remains each traveler’s responsibility to make sure they meet all entry requirements.
Before every trip, you will receive a document titled The Getaway Guide, providing all the essential information about your journey, including the weather forecast, packing tips, finalized itinerary, and any other important details. You can expect to receive this about 30 days prior to your trip.
We do our best to accommodate guests’ special dietary needs but not all destinations offer options for extreme dietary restrictions.
Our trips cater to a varied audience of adults 18 years and older. While there are no physical fitness requirements, travel may be difficult for those with limited mobility.
All trips will vary depending on the destination and popularity. However, most trips have an average of 12-15 guests. This gives us the opportunity to interact personally with each guest and leaves room for a more intimate, personalized experience.
